Canaan Makusha, Project Officer, 1999-present

Canaan Makusha came up through the ranks from the grass roots, and is an example of how CHC can benefit rural communities. He joined the CHC in his area in 1999 as an ordinary club member, one of the few men to join. His skills as a carpenter and metal worker gave him a chance to train others in the CHC. He was soon promoted to district trainer for Zim AHEAD, and since then to Project Officer for many of the most successful programmes in Zimbabwe, especially in Chipinge, Chiredzi, Chimanimani, and  Mavingo Urban. He has a unique ability to galvanise communities to reach and surpass all targets,
