After this session participants will know how to prevent transmission of Scabies and ringworm ensuring that 

  1. All adults and children should wash daily with soap
  2. All children are treated if they have scabies or ringworm 
  3. Children do not share clothes or bedding if infected
  4. All clothes are washed regularly with soap
  5. All bedding is aired and sheets and blankets washed regularly
How to use the Card set

How to use the Card set  in a participatory way

  1. Hold and Describe:  Using Card No 1 & 2 explain the transmission cycle of  Scabies and Ring worm and give the  information on the Trainer Guide. 
  2. Bear witness: Ask the  members raise their hands if they have ever had such skin disease in their family.
  3.  Transmission Route: Give out Cards for Transmission of Skin Disease (1-8). Ask each person with a card to come to the front and describe what they see in their picture.
  4. Blocking the Route of Transmission: Give out the prevention cards (9-20) and ask each person with a card to come and stand in front of the person who has a card that shows a transmission route of skin disease which can be prevented by their own card.
  5. Discussion: What can be done to cure and prevent Skin Diseases

 Print each picture on  A4 paper. 

Fold each paper in half and laminate.

Print out  one page Facilitator Guide.
