SA Skin Disease

Description of the Training

This topic provides 11 images of showing issues related to spreading skin diseases such as scabies and ringworm. The cards are used to help prompt participants  to discuss some of the ways that people should keep themselves clean, and protect themselves from getting skin diseases with the objective of understanding that skin  diseases can be prevented by regular washing and avoiding sharing clothes, bedclothes and contact with infected people.

How to use Card set  2. ‘Skin Disease’

ACTIVITY: BLOCKING THE ROUTE

  1. Ask the group to think of all the ways that we can catch different infections from one another.
  2. Give out the pictures and ask participants who have pictures that may lead to transmission of a disease to come up and explain their card.
  3. Now ask all the other participants to explain their cards and how they may help to ‘Block the Route’ of the transmission.
